Today was DD's birthday, and DH and I gave her Marisol and the ballet outfit as her gift. It's been a rough couple of weeks for DD - - we moved to a new city, she started at a new school this week, and she's just generally not thrilled about so many changes occurring all at once.
But her eyes were as large as dinner plates when she opened the box & saw Marisol. Marisol was worth every penny! I actually got tears in my eyes seeing the big smile that lit up DD's entire face. Those kinds of smiles are what AG is all about!
Of course, she still has Elizabeth in the back of her mind! Her uncle gave her some $$$ instead of a gift, and DD immediately put it in a jar that she's labeled as "Saving for Elizabeth."

Excellent story. What thoughtful parents you are.
Marsiol will be her best new friend in the new city you have relocated to.

Marisol is so appropriate for your daughter. I hope your daughter reads the book. It's a sweet story and perfect for her because it's all about finding the good in a new place while still cherishing the old. Your post put a smile on my face. I can just picture all that cheery brightness surrounding the birthday event.
